The Windtalker:

• Answers the telephone line, and reports the average Wind Speed and Direction (current, and 20,40,60 minutes ago), and Temperature, in a crystal clear female voice. The report comes through the built-in speaker, the telephone jack, and audio output jack (for 2-way radio setup).
• Displays the current or average (over 20 min), wind speed and direction, and temperature (in C or F)
• Low power... 12v at 0.140 amp (display switched on) and 0.075amp (display off). Can be powered by small solar array. 
• New all ball bearing outdoor anemometer head unit, that mounts on pipe end, with no tools.
• It can precede its wind report with your recorded message of variable length (up to 40 sec). This message can be recorded on-site, or by phone call, after entering a touch-tone access code. You can assign individual security codes to commercial sponsors, thus permitting them to change their recorded advertisement on their own from a touch-tone phone. 
• New - It now saves your custom recorded message even after the power is turned off, using audio recorder chip technology. 
• It can require all callers (after hearing your recorded message) to enter a six digit touch tone code to hear the wind report. The available number of calls for that code (one of the 250 available codes that you can remotely assign by phone) gets decremented. Each code starts out with 1-255 calls available (your choice). If all codes decrement to zero, the Windtalker reverts to free access. 
• It can CALL YOU when conditions are good (if you are a wind sportsman), or ALERT YOU (if you are service provider). You can remotely set both the phone number for it to call and the speed threshold. 
• It can share the line with a regular phone, by setting it to wait any number of rings before answering.

The Windtalker is a complete, pre-calibrated Plug-and-Play unit, and is built to commercial standards, housed in a heavy (.090 alum) case.

Overall size is 11.25" (286mm) wide, 8.75" (123mm) deep, 1.5" (38mm) high.
